Job Description
You will join our backend team to design, build, and operate the Node.js services that sit behind every product we ship. Expect to own substantial parts of the stack — API design, data modeling, performance, and reliability — while collaborating closely with frontend and DevOps. We care about craft: clean services, thoughtful schemas, and systems we can confidently operate at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement REST APIs with Express and MongoDB (Mongoose)
- Write testable service code and own database schema decisions
- Add observability, tracing, and structured logging to critical paths
- Partner with frontend and DevOps to ship reliable, performant features
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 2+ years building production Node.js services
- Strong SQL or NoSQL modeling — we primarily use MongoDB
- Working knowledge of Docker and CI/CD pipelines
- Comfortable debugging across the stack, not just your service
